Today I caught up with both Jeff Chow and Mandy Godown Founders of CTRL+Console! We discussed the new Broadcast Partnership with Adobe.
So last week was Cine Gear Entertainment Digital Expo in Los Angeles. This was my first experience attending. I drove down from Portland Oregon to do some coverage for my blog and more importantly to see what it was all about first hand.
It was a pleasure to get all the details about the new Arri Amira from Guenter Noesner. In my opinion after getting a really informative breakdown I have to say the Amira is one really well layed out camera as far as mounting points, ND filters, I/O, adjustability, pinless media, and Arri is known for their amazing color and skin tones.
Once again I get of the latest updates from Dan May President of Blackmagic Design. This is a three part series of booth videos. Part 1 is the new Ultra HD URSA Camera all it’s highlights. Part 2 Dan goes over the possibilities with the new Studio Camera. Part 3 we get more updates to Davinci Resolve including some very useful editing capabilties. I spoke to the team behind the new Panasonic 4K Varicam including Steve Mahrer Senior Technologist from Panasonic North America. He gives us details on the two flavors of Varicam and how their new recorder can attach to either camera body as well as extending the recorder up to 70 feets for jibs or other shots that need the camera in it’s smaller configuration. Super cool talk with El-Deane Naude Sr. Product Information Manager at Sony Electronics Inc.about the uber exciting Sony Alpha A7s. This lil gem can literally shoot in the dark. Small enough to carry in your pocket but packs a Full Frame Sensor not like we’ve seen from any camera company in the past. I’m obviously really excited to see more and follow this new product from Sony…and I’m a Red Epic Owner/Opp. Could easily see this in my Kit…looks like it’s got a lot of promise and surely won’t break the bank.
